The historic Georgian Terrace Hotel will be the site of the 2002 preconference. The Georgian Terrace Hotel is located on Atlanta's famed Peachtree Street directly across the street from the historic Fox Theater. The hotel was built in 1911 and has been witness to much of the city's history including serving as the site of the premiere party for the 1939 film Gone With the Wind. The hotel is on the National Register of Historic Places and has been fully modernized and recently renovated.

The Georgian Terrace is a suite hotel which offers standard single rooms at a conference rate of $149 a night, as well as luxury suites in two different sleeping configurations (luxury suites include either one king sized bed or two queen) at $169 a night.

All reservations for the Georgian Terrace Hotel must be made using the ALA Housing Form online at http://www.ala.org/events/annual2002/travel.html (select "RBMS," enter "RBMS") or by calling the ALA Travel Desk, 800-999-0925. You must specify that you are attending the RBMS Preconference when making your reservation.

In addition, budget accommodation is available at the Woodruff Residential Center on the Emory University campus, approximately six miles from the preconference hotel. Single rooms are $35.00 per night; double rooms are $27.00 per night. Rooms are air-conditioned, "suite-style," and include linens, washcloth, and towels. The following items are not provided in the residence halls and you might want to bring them with you: alarm clock, telephone, reading lamp, hangers.
