Professional Profile

Hikmat Faraj attended the American University of Beirut and graduated with a BA in pyschology. He then earned his master's degree in art history at Emory, and has been working in the library since 1996.

Hikmat set up the Middle Eastern and Islamic program at Collection Managment in 1997, and has been the subject specialist in this area since then. In addition to collection building and research and instruction activities, he also catalogs Arabic and Persian books.
