New Enhancements to Reserves Direct

In July, the Emory University Libraries will be introducing software enhancements to Reserves Direct. These enhancements will better enable Emory's Faculty and Staff to comply with fair use and U.S. Copyright Law.

What’s New:

For Faculty who upload their own materials:

Emory Electronic Theses & Dissertations are now in discoverE

[Victoria and Albert Museum]

We're happy to announce that records for Emory Electronic Theses and Dissertations (ETDs) have now been loaded into discoverE.  This provides another way to find Emory graduate and undergraduate research, beyond the search capabilities on the ETD website

(https://etd.library.emory.edu/).    In any search result, if there are Emory ETDs included, a Collection term "Emory Electronic Theses and Dissertations" will show up on the left side; clicking on this allows DiscoverE users to filter search results to Emory ETDs.

Software Training in the Woodruff Library's Learning Commons

Computer workstations within Woodruff Library now have access to the Lynda.com online training tutorials. This includes the workstations in the Learning Commons and in ECIT.

AutoCAD now available at Emory University Libraries

Emory University Libraries is pleased to announce that the Library’s Electronic Data Center (EDC) now provides access to AutoCAD Map 3D. The version that we have installed includes support for 3D and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Core GIS technology is rapidly evolving to better integrate field collected data (i.e. GPS/Total Station), remote sensing (i.e. aerial/satellite imagery), and 3D data and graphics.

Eighteenth Century Journals

Eighteenth Century Journals, a portal to newspapers and periodicals, provides full-text access to rare British newspapers and periodicals from the 17th and 18th centuries. These materials have been carefully screened and selected to avoid overlap with the collections in Early English Books Online (EEBO), Eighteenth Century Collections Online (ECCO) and Early English Newspapers.
