Library Orientation Scavenger Hunt Game
If you missed getting the flyer at the Orientation Fair on Saturday August 25, or at the Library Orientation Party on Monday August 27, I just want to familiarize you with the game you can play (and win a prize) that will get you up to speed on the Woodruff Library in no time.
Here are the rules:
First-Year Students!
Robert W. Woodruff Library Photo Scavenger Hunt!
August 25 through September 8
Have fun, get to know the Woodruff library, win a fabulous prize!
Everyone who completes the game will also have a chance to win Starbucks gift cards.
You can play this game in pairs or in a larger group if you choose.
Here’s what you need to do...
1. Take pictures of the following 10 things:
• The place where you can check out a laptop, iPad or charger
• You with a subject librarian
• A book with a call number beginning with PZ
• Where the lost and found is
• Where you check out a book or get help with a research question
• The “Today’s Events” chalkboard
• A machine to copy or scan/email documents
• The best spot for you to study
• You in a good spot to take a nap
• Something that confuses you/that you don’t understand
2. When you’re done:
• show your photos to the reference librarian at the Library Service Desk
• enter the raffle for the Starbucks gift card
• pick up your fabulous prize.
We expect to see you running around the library snapping pictures like mad. I mean really, what else is there to do the first couple of weeks of school?
