Looking for something to do Labor Day weekend? Come to the Decatur Book Festival in downtown Decatur Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1 and 2. Stop by the Emory University tent at the corner of Clairemont and E. Ponce de Leon (across from the AJC tent), where you'll find folks from the Emory Libraries, Carlos Museum and Bookshop, Emory University Communications and Marketing, Emory Continuing Education and more.

Free tickets are now available at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts box office for U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey's keynote address, which kicks off the 2012 AJC Decatur Book Festival.

A small exhibition of about 50 images from the Robert Langmuir African American Photograph Collection will open Friday, July 20, in the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) on Level 10 of the Woodruff Library.

DiSC announces three new projects for 2012-13

The Digital Scholarship Commons (DiSC) at the Emory Libraries announces the selection of three new projects, funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, that will be the focus of DiSC's work during the 2012-2013 academic year. The projects will be closely connected with the Library, its collections at the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) and its staff as a whole.

Two library publications recognized as Best in Show

Congratulations to Holly Crenshaw, Emory Libraries Director of Communications.  Two Emory Library publications, both edited and produced under the leadership of Holly have been recognized as “Best of Show” for items produced in 2011, MARBL magazine  and Courageous Inquiry: A Report to the Community.
