Find the Full-text of an Article

First, how much information do you have about the article?  It helps to have:

1. Title of the journal in which the article is published
2. Title of the article or keywords in the title
3. Volume and issue number or the publication date
4. Author
5. Page numbers would be helpful, but are not necessarily required

Steps to finding the full-text of the article:

1. Go to EJOURNALS and search for the JOURNAL by its title.
2. You will get a menu of options that looks like this image below, which tells me we have electronic access to this journal from 1997 up until but not including the most recent one year. This access is available in two different databases. So if I needed an article from 1999 I would choose the "Go" button next to the EBSCO Academic Search Complete database. If I needed an article from 2004 I would choose the "Go" button next to the EBSCO SocINDEX with Full Text database.
   
   
3. If there is NO electronic access to a journal you have searched in the EJournals database, you will get a message telling you to search for the journal name in discoverE, our catalog. Search discoverE to see if we have the journal in print.
4. If you find a record for the journal, click the tab "Locations/Call Number" under the item to get the call number for the print volumes in the library stacks.
5. If we do not own the item online or in print, you can request the full-text of the article through interlibrary loan.
