A joint project between the Woodruff Library and Emory
University Technology Services (UTS), the Learning
Commons is designed
to bring together computing tools, print materials,
and electronic resources with the expertise of the
Library
staff and the Academic community at large.
The Learning Commons consists of 153 Dell PC workstations,
8 24" iMacs,
ten black and white printers, and one color printer.
Computers and printers are spread
across four floors of the Woodruff Library and are
available for use during any of the Library's open
hours.
Please see the Programs and
Applications page for details about what programs
are available in the Learning Commons and the Printing
page for details on printing in the Learning Commons.
We have three service desks in the Learning Commons
where you can get technical assistance. These desks
are
staffed
by a team of student assistants who provide technical
support, including assistance with programs and
applications.
They can also help answer questions regarding Learning
Commons policies and procedures, and can help you
find an available
computer.
Please refer to the Hours for
Tech Support page for the Learning Commons student assistant's
hours of availability.
In addition to asking for help in-person at one of
our service desks, you can also Instant Message (IM)
the Learning Commons team for assistance. Please
see the
Tech Help
page for details about this service. |
