Unfortunately, sometimes an article in a database is incorrectly categorized as "scholarly." Here are some tips to make sure your resources from journals are scholarly:

  1. Use the database, Ulrich's Periodical Directory. You can enter the name of the journal, and the journal's description in Ulrich's will indicate whether the journal contains peer-reviewed, scholarly articles;
  2.
  3. Talk to a librarian; or
  4.
  5. Ask your professor.
