Costs

  • Black & white printing is a page.
  • Color printing and copying is 50¢ a page.

Printer Locations

  • Black & white printers are located throughout Levels 1-4 of Woodruff Library.
  • A color printer in Woodruff Library is located on Level 2.  (The name of the color printer is Orange_color)
  • Printers in the Math/Science Library and the Chemistry Library are black & white printers.

Note: All printing is on 8.5x11single-sided white paper. We do not offer large format or double sided options.

What do I need to print in the Learning Commons?

You need an Emory Card or a Copy Card. Copy Cards can be purchased at the Emory Copy and Print Office (Copy Center) on Level 1 of the Library, or at the Main Circulation Desk on Level 3 of the Library. Please check the Library's Hours page for the Copy Center's hours and the Main Circulation desk's Circulation Contacts page for their hours.

You can add money to your card at an Emory Card Deposit machine. There are deposit machines on Levels 1 and 3 of the Library. For more locations across campus, please see the Emory Card Locations page.

Can I print to the Learning Commons printers from my laptop?

Yes, you can set-up your own PC or Mac laptop to print to one of the Learning Commons printers. Please see our detailed instructions for setting up your laptop, or, see a student technology assistant for help .

Are there scanners available in the Learning Commons?

  • Yes, there are six scanners available in the Learning Commons.
  • All are on Level 2.
    • Two are at PC workstations nearest ECIT (and the Silver printer).
    • Two are at the Macs nearest the Orange printer.
    • One is at the special use workstations.
    • One is at the Reference/Information service point.
