Most government documents are housed on Level 1 of the library and are arranged by Superintendent of Documents (SuDoc) call numbers.

We also have an extensive microfiche collection of government documents (arranged by Superintendent of Documents call numbers) in the microfiche cabinets on Level 1. This collection covers documents from 1980 to the present.

There is also a microprint collection of government documents on Level 1, which includes all documents distributed under the Federal Depository library system from 1956 to 1980. Please ask for assistance when using this collection, as it requires using the Monthly Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (in the Reference collection on Level 2) to find the catalog number which corresponds to the microprint.

See a map of the documents shelving on Level 1 (pdf).

GOVDOCSREF and GOV-CENSUS documents can be found on Level 1 of the library in free-standing shelving.

For more information on finding U.S. government documents at Emory and using the SuDoc call number system, see our pdf brochure or get help at the Reference Desk on Level 2!
