The exhibition A Long Look Homeward, created by the Tibet Museum, housed in Dharamsala, India provides a journey through Tibet's history as narrated by eleven members of the Tibetan community in exile, who serve as the exhibition's curators (www. thetibetmuseum.org). Their own personal stories are interwoven with that of their homeland, and are accompanied by images chosen by them that illustrate those stories. In addition to chronicling the invasion and colonization of Tibet, the exhibition also includes a section on Tibetan refugees. It concludes with visions for the future, as related by His Holiness, the Dalai Lama.

Schatten Gallery will be the first American venue for A Long Look Homeward. After the exhibition concludes at Emory University, it is expected to travel throughout the United States.
