Full-text journals available online, whether or not also available in conventional, printed form. eJournals available to authorized Emory users are listed by title both in EUCLID and in eJournals@Emory.
E-mail alert
A service one signs up for, through which journals email the patron either: (a) table of contents or; (b) citations of articles on topics of interest to you.
E-only Access
The electronic format is the only edition of the journal to which the library subscribes. E-only access provides our users with immediate online links to the full-text of selected scholarly journals and eBooks, 24/7.
Online Edition
Refers to journal editions available online (same as “e-journal”).
PDF
The formatting of articles in the "portable data format" read by Adobe® Acrobat®.
Printed Edition
Refers to conventional journal editions published and distributed as paper copies.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
RSS refers to web feeds of content or summaries of web content together with links to the full versions of the contents. As applied to journals, RSS feeds allow for users to be kept up to date with new journal content.
XML (eXtensible Markup Language)
SMK is a general purpose markup language whihc allows editors to define their own data elements for searching and indexing. XML is the latest generation of markup language used by many digital publishers. Many people are familiar with an earlier version of this program called HTML (Hypertext Markup Language).
