CALL FOR STUDENT RESEARCH SUBMISSIONS UNDERWAY - Up to Three Prizes of $500 Each to be Awarded
For a few lucky undergrads, research will be more than its own reward in March.
Woodruff Library is sponsoring its annual Undergraduate Research Award. A panel of faculty and librarians will award up to three prizes of $500 each to undergraduate students who “make extensive use of the Library’s collections and research resources in their original scholarship and show evidence of critical analysis in their research skills,” such as “locating, selecting, evaluating, and synthesizing information.” At least one prize will go to a first-year student.
Undergraduate students interested in applying can find additional information and the application at http://web.library.emory.edu/services/woodruff-library-undergraduateresearch-award. The application deadline is March 2, 2010. Papers completed after March 1, 2009 are eligible. Faculty members are asked to encourage submissions from undergraduate students who have turned in extraordinary research papers for a credit course.
