Welcome!
Welcome to the library research page accompanying your Freshman seminar on Science Fiction and Politics! Here you will find numerous resources--both print and electronic--that can help you in your research. If you have trouble navigating these sites, or would like one-on-one consultations, please feel free to contact me, Chris Palazzolo (cpalazz@emory.edu), your political science and international documents liaison at Woodruff Library.
**It is highly recommended that you also visit the Political Theory resource page. As science fiction comments on many political ideas and concepts, such as utopianism/dystopianism and corporatism, you may wish to consult print and electronic resources in this area.**
To find materials located at any of Emory's libraries, search EUCLID, Emory's online library catalog.
The contents of journals are NOT searchable in EUCLID. Read Finding a Journal Article in the Woodruff Library, for further guidance.

USING EUCLID TO LOCATE RESOURCES
- To find books, journal holdings, music, videos or other materials located at any of the Emory libraries, search EUCLID. You can search EUCLID by keywords or phrases, author, title or periodical title. For better search results, try using Boolean Operators (AND, OR, NOT).
- Do not use EUCLID to find individual periodical articles. Use the databases listed in Locating Articles to find indexes for journal articles.
- You can search EUCLID in many different manners and across/within many different fields. You may "search everything" by keyword to broaden your search to include all fields and obtain some initial results. Be sure to always click on the "full record" of a particularly interesting item and look at (and/or click on) the subject headings to further your search or make it more precise.

- Journals, newspapers, and magazines for the current year are kept in the Matheson Reading Room on the third floor of the Candler Building (follow the bridge from the General Libraries to reach the Reading Room).
