Semester Online

Semester Online classes are online classes offered through a consortium of universities.  Emory students may enroll in Semester Online classes following the guidelines set by the College.  Emory faculty may teach Semester Online courses, and non-Emory students may be enrolled in those courses.  This page outlines Emory library services for faculty and students for Semester Online classes.

For Emory Faculty

The Woodruff Library provides most of the same services for Semester Online students as for Emory students attending at the Atlanta campus.  If you are teaching a Semester Online class, the following will be available to you and the students enrolled.

For students from other universities who are enrolled in Semester Onlisne classes, the Woodruff Library cannot provide access to print and MARBL collections.  If you would like to use materials from MARBL in your Semester Online class, please consult with your subject librarian.

For Emory Students

If you are taking a Semester Online class while in Atlanta, the following services are available to you.

* If you are not in Atlanta while taking a Semester Online class, all of the above will be available to you except checking out books, media and equipment and Interlibrary Loan of books.

For Non-Emory Students

The Woodruff Library provides many services for students from other universities who are enrolled in a Semester Online class hosted and taught by Emory faculty.  For the semeseter you are enrolled in an Emory-hosted Semester Online class, these services from the Woodruff Library will be available to you:

Semester Online students enrolled at other universities should use their home university library for checking out books, borrowing materials on Interlibrary Loan, and other research assistance you may need.
