Rush Cataloging of In-Process Material
When you are searching for books and other materials in EUCLID
and you locate an IN-PROCESS item that you need quickly, you
may request that the item be RUSH cataloged. When viewing
the EUCLID record for the IN-PROCESS title, there is a button
near the top for REQUEST. Click on that button, which should
take you to a menu "Type of Request". The third
item in the list is " Rush catalog - In-process &
On-order items". When you click on that link, you can
enter your user information and other elements for the request.
The call number of the IN-PROCESS item should be automatically
entered into the request. The online request will be processed
via a report and forwarded to BGS for RUSH cataloging. The
goal of RUSH cataloging is to have the material ready within
48 hours of the time BGS receives the report. When Circulation
receives the fully cataloged title, a notice will be generated
and sent to you, the user, indicating that the item is ready
for pickup.
