Find Library Materials

Begin your search with DiscoverE.  For help, contact the Reference Desk on the second floor of the Woodruff Library or call 404-727-6873. If you have trouble locating a book in the stacks, please email us.

Borrow Library Materials

Emory faculty, staff and students have library privileges at all Emory Libraries. The Circulation Desk is on the third floor of the Woodruff Library. A self checkout machine is available at the circulation desk for Emory faculty, staff, and students. It is available during regular library hours and when the Circulation desk is closed.

Please see the following two sections on our web page for information about non-Emory library users and becoming a guest borrower.

Visitors

Woodruff Library welcomes all non-Emory visitors. Please sign in at the security desk with a picture ID for library access. See our library schedule for hours.

Students and faculty with a valid university ID from Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and University of Georgia can set up account at the Circulation Desk when your home library is open. Borrowing privileges are conditional on approval from your library.

Students and faculty from the following schools need a current Interlibrary Use (ILU) card from their library to create a library account:. Agnes Scott College, Atlanta University Center, Oglethorpe University, Mercer University, Atlanta College of Art, Brenau University, Clayton College, Columbia Theological Seminary, Paper Science & Tech, Kennesaw State University Southern Polytechnic West Georgia.

Users from both groups listed above may borrow a total 25 items from the Woodruff (Main) Library, Pitts Theology Library, Heilbrun Music & Media Library (books and scores only - audio/visual media may not be borrowed),  and the Chemistry Library.

Student from colleges and universities outside of Atlanta should email us for information about borrowing privileges.
