If you have trouble locating a book in the stacks, please email us. Emory faculty, staff and students have library privileges at all Emory Libraries. The Circulation Desk is on the third floor of the Woodruff Library. A self checkout machine is available at the circulation desk for Emory faculty, staff, and students. It is available during regular library hours and when the Circulation desk is closed. Please see the following two sections on our web page for information about non-Emory library users and becoming a guest borrower. Woodruff Library welcomes all non-Emory visitors. Please sign in at the security desk with a picture ID for library access. See our library schedule for hours. Students and faculty with a valid university ID from Georgia State, Georgia Tech, and University of Georgia can set up account at the Circulation Desk when your home library is open. Borrowing privileges are conditional on approval from your library. Students and faculty from the following schools need a current Interlibrary Use (ILU) card from their library to create a library account:. Agnes Scott College, Atlanta University Center, Oglethorpe University, Mercer University, Atlanta College of Art, Brenau University, Clayton College, Columbia Theological Seminary, Paper Science & Tech, Kennesaw State University Southern Polytechnic West Georgia. Users from both groups listed above may borrow a total 25 items from the Woodruff (Main) Library, Pitts Theology Library, Heilbrun Music & Media Library (books and scores only - audio/visual media may not be borrowed), and the Chemistry Library.
Student from colleges and universities outside of Atlanta should email us for information about borrowing privileges.
If you do not qualify for borrowing privileges, they can be purchased at the Woodruff Circulation Desk. You must be 18 or older. The cost is $75 for six months or $100 for one year. You can borrow a total of 50 items from the Woodruff (Main) Library, Pitts Theology Library, Heilbrun Music & Media Library, and the Chemistry Library. Privileges are not transferrable. Unfortunately, group borrowing privileges are not available. Emory faculty, staff, and students should use OPUS to change their local and home addresses. Please also notify the Emory Post Office of PO Box changes. Students should report all other changes and missing information to the Registrar. Non-Emory users should email us to change their contact information. Emory faculty, staff, and students with their net ID and password may use the Learning Commons computers on levels 1, 2 and 3. Emory alumni and Emory Healthcare employees should visit the Circulation Desk to obtain the password. Computers for searching the online catalog, EUCLID, can be found at the circulation desk and on each floor of stacks. A limited number of databases for non-Emory users are available at public workstations located on level 2 near the Reference Desk. Laptop users please see Wireless Access inside library. Current Emory students, faculty, and staff can check out laptops from the Circulation Desk during our business hours. We offer both PCs and Macs and their corresponding power adaptors. You can now scan documents and send them to your email account at no charge. Free local faxing is available at the BizHub machine on level 2 of the Woodruff Library. Visit the Learning Commons or Circulation Desk for more information. Paper copies are also available. Copy cards needed for this option may be purchased at the Circulation Desk and Copy Services. BizHub machines are located in the Woodruff Library on levels 1, 2, 3 and 6. . Outside books drops are located on either side of the Woodruff Library entrance. Books may also be returned at the Circulation Desk or the outside book drop of any Emory library. DVDs and CDs should be returned to the Music/Media circulation desk and not placed in the book drop.
Renew your items through EUCLID. Click My Account at the top of the screen. Online renewals are not available for recalled items or for those that have reached their renewal limit. If your account is blocked or due to expire soon, please email us. If you cannot locate an item in the stacks, check the reshelving and overflow areas (shown below). If the item is not there, come to the Circulation desk for assistance. A book may also be reported missing through EUCLID. First, display the item in the search result window and click “Request,” then click “Report Item Missing,” and follow the prompts.

Please complete a purchase request form. A proxy acts on another person’s behalf regarding library materials. Only Emory faculty, teaching graduate students, and persons with disabilities are eligible to register proxies. Please email us with the following: Your name and ID number, your proxy’s name and ID number. This information can also be faxed to 404-727-1655. Please call us at 404-727-6873 if you have any questions. Proxies can check out materials to your account and access details of your current checkouts. Proxies cannot access your Emory Personal ID or password, social security number, or contact information. Proxy privileges end August 31 of each year.
