EMORY PERSONAL ID:
The Emory Personal ID number is a 7-digit number assigned
to Emory faculty, staff, and students.
Students whose ID cards were issued after August 2000 have
the Emory Personal ID number on the front bottom-right corner.
Faculty and staff can locate their Emory Personal ID number
on their payroll receipts.
For all other borrowers, the Emory personal ID number is
generally a 9-digit number issued to you by the circulation department when you established your privileges. If you need help determining what your ID number is, please call us (404) 727-6873.
HOW DO I FIND MY EMORY PERSONAL ID?
Emory faculty, students, and staff can look up their Emory ID on AAIT's "My ITD Data" page by logging in with your network ID and password. You can find more information about your network ID on AAIT's Network ID/password pages.
Or ask for help from library staff at the Circulation

HOW TO CHANGE E-MAIL ADDRESS AND CONTACT INFORMATION WITH
CIRCULATION & RESERVES:
It is important that the library have current contact information
on all its borrowers because the library sends notices by
email for the following:
- when books are recalled
- when items are overdue
- when missing or recalled books become available
Emory Faculty/Staff/Students:
Most Emory students, faculty, and staff are already set up
to receive library notices via e-mail.
You may have more than one Emory e-mail address. It is your responsibility
to ensure that the University is sending email to the address that
you use on a regular basis. For more on managing your email at Emory,
view our Email Information page.
Faculty and staff should notify Human
Resources of changes of local address.
Students should use OPUS
to change their local and home addresses, and notify the Emory
Post Office of P.O. Box changes. Students should report all
other changes and missing information to the Registrar.
Guest researchers and anyone who is not Emory
Faculty, Staff, or Student must change account information
by contacting the Circulation
& Reserves Department.

PRIVACY AND CONFIDENTIALITY:
The confidentiality policy is a combination of the University
policy on confidentiality and federal law regarding the confidential
nature of library records.
Library Policy on Confidentiality
The Federal Privacy Act of 1974, which is supported by the
American Library Association, recognizes and guarantees the
confidentiality of all registration and circulation records.
The Library Policy Committee of the University Senate has
reaffirmed this policy.

BORROWER RESPONSIBILITIES:
The library account holder bears all responsibility for
materials checked out to that account.
Although the library periodically sends courtesy reminder
notices about materials coming due, it is the borrower's responsibility
to return items by their due dates and keep apprised of those
due dates.
Borrowers whose proxies have checked materials out to their
account are ultimately responsible for those materials.
The Circulation & Reserves Department encourages borrowers
to take an active part in making sure their contact information
is up-to-date and their record information is accurate.
