Resources for Faculty

As an Emory faculty member, you are invited to take full advantage of the resources the library offers to support your research and teaching. Your primary contact person will be the Subject Librarian for your field. If you do not have a specific subject librarian or are unsure who to call, see Betsey Patterson (404) 727-0149 for assistance.

To request that the library acquire materials or online resources for its collection, contact your Subject Librarian or place a request via the Purchase Request Form or Request to Add a Web Resource to EUCLID form.

Feel free to consult our Collection Management Policy guidelines, developed in consultation with faculty, to learn about our basic operating principles and special areas of strength. Specific department collection policies and collection overviews are also available.

The Emory Libraries have begun an initiative entitled Moving Beyond Paper to oversee the migration to electronic journals in order to address the space crisis in the stacks, the cost of maintaining print collections, and the shifting preferences of library users. For a list of electronic journals carried at Emory, consult the eJournals@emory site.

In addition to this library-wide initiative, the Collection Management Division is involved in other special projects of interest to the Emory community.

For general statistics about the library, click here.

Several special projects are also being undertaken at the General Libraries.

The Woodruff Library is grateful to receive donations. For more information, consult Giving to the Library Collection, our Gift in Kind policy, and the Gift in Kind form.

For further information, contact Chuck Spornick, Head of Collection Management (404) 727-6954.
