BizHubs as Scanners
Instructions: How to use a BizHub as a Scanner
- Press [Scanner]
- Make sure that no previous settings remain. If a previous setting remains, press [Clear Modes].
- If the network delivery scanner screen or Scan to Folder screen appears, switch to the E-mail screen.*
- Place originals.
- Enter your email address (the scanned images will be emailed to you).
- Press [Manual Entry]. The soft keyboard appears so you can enter the e-mail address.
- Enter the e-mail address.
- Press [OK].
- If necessary, press [Scan Settings] to specify scanner settings such as resolution and scan size. Press [OK] when you are done.
- If necessary, select one of the following file types (TIFF is set by default):
- For Single Page: [TIFF / JPEG], [PDF], or [High Compression PDF]
- For Multi-page: [TIFF], [PDF], or [High Compression PDF]
- Press [File Name / Type].
- Select a file type.
- Press [OK].
- If Preview is not needed, press [Start] to begin scanning. Skip the next step and proceed to 10.
- If you would lile to use the Preview screen, first press [Preview], and then press [Start] to begin scanning. To see the Preview screen, press # after the scanning is done.
- [Zoom Out] and [Zoom In] - press to reduce or enlarge the displayed preview.
- Arrows – press to shift the displayed area
- “Display File” section of the screen will display a file’s name and size
- “Display Page” section of the screen will display the number of the currently displayed page, total number of pages, page size, and color mode.
- [Switch] – press to navigate between the pages of the scanned material.
- [Cancel TX] – press to close a preview and interrupt a transmission.
- [Continue TX] – press to close a preview and continue a transmission. The scan will be emailed to you.
- If you are scanning batches, place the next originals. Otherwise, press the # key. The scans are emailed to the specified address automatically.
- Press [Clear Modes] to clear your email address and other custom settings.
- Press [Copy] to return into the copying mode.
