Constitution Historical offers searchable full-text
of the Atlanta Constitution.
1925-1954
Atlanta Constitution Card Index. This was originally
a card file index prepared by the State of Georgia Library
in the Judicial Building downtown. The index has a reputation
for being difficult to use due to lack of standardized
subject headings. Users should search under all possible
terms for a subject. It is now available on 16mm microfilm.

Atlanta Constitution: A Georgia Index. The index
for these years was prepared by the Reference Department
of the Georgia State University Library. Subtitled "A
Georgia Index," it omits national or regional news that
does not concern Georgia.

The Atlanta Journal, the Atlanta Constitution Index.
In 1980, Microfilm Corporation of American, which had
been publishing The Atlanta Constitution: A Georgia
Index, notified Georgia State that they were taking
over the indexing. They only published the first six months
of 1982 before going out of business.

1932-1982
The Atlanta Weekly was the Sunday supplement
to the Atlanta Journal & Constitution. Originally
called the Atlanta Journal Magazine, for most
of its life it appeared under the title Atlanta Journal
& Constitution Magazine. Througout its history
it published notable articles concerning Atlanta, Georgia
and the Southeast authored by a large number of accomplished
writers. It is no longer published. A card file index
for the Sunday supplement is located in the Reference
Department offfice of the Woodruff Library at Emory.
It is available for use there.

1970-1976
The Great Speckled Bird was Atlanta's counter-culture
newspaper from 1968 to 1976, It was revived briefly for ten
months in 1985/86. Indexed along with many other such newspapers
in Alternative Press Index.
