This database is authored by the National Library of Agriculture and includes information on every aspect of agriculture in journals, books, conference proceedings, and technical reports.

This important resource indexes over 9,300 serials from over 100 countries, covering all aspects of the life sciences. There are also variant electronic versions of this resource.

Bibliography of Native North Americans
16th century to present
Contains citations to literature about native peoples of North America published from the sixteenth century to the present. Native North Americans include Aleuts; Eskimos or Inuit of Greenland, northern Canada, Alaska, and eastern Siberia; and other native peoples (i.e. "Indians") of Alaska, Canada, the United States, and Mexico north of the northern boundary of Mesoamerica. All citations are to published materials: books, journal articles, essays, conference papers, and US and Canadian government documents.

Biological and Agricultural Index

Provides citations to articles and book reviews in over 200 periodicals in the areas of animal husbandry, cytology, entomology, food science, forestry, limnology, nutrition, plant pathology, soil science, vertinary medicine and related life sciences.

Darwin
CD ROM 237
Video and text about Darwin's work. Includes a timeline, biographical dictionary and the full text of Darwin's most important writings. Available in the Beck Center (Machine #7).

Dissertation Abstracts
1861 to present
Provides access to doctoral dissertations completed at over 800 North American colleges and universities since 1861. Dissertations from over 300 foreign universities are also included. Abstracts are available for dissertations complete since 1980.

eHRAF Collection of Ethnography
Produced by the Human Relations Area Files, eHRAF contains ethnographic and other documents (books, journal articles, and dissertations) describing cultural and social life that are compiled into culture profiles. Topics range from how the people of the culture live their daily lives, solve their conflicts, and raise their children; their religious beliefs and practices, history, etc.

This database provides indexing and full text access to articles from the ethnic and minority press in America.

FRANCIS
1984 to present
FRANCIS contains access to materials from more than 3,000 journals, books dissertations and other American and European sources. Subjects included which may be relevant to anthropologists are archaeology, history of science, sociology, religion, health, ethnology, philosophy, and linguistics.

Hispanic American Periodicals Index
1970 to present
Covers U.S.-Hispanic and Latin American topics. HAPI cites articles published in English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish from scholarly journals worldwide.

Investigating Olduvaai

This is a case study on the archaelogy of human origins in Africa. Included is general information about the setting and discoveries at Olduvai Gorge, and specific data about one important site, the FLK-Zinj "living floor". Available in the Beck Center (Machine #7 or #8).

Philosopher's Index

Includes citations to more than 150,000 philosophy articles, books and contributions to anthologies published in English since 1940, non-English language journals published since 1967, and non-English language books published since 1980. Book reviews are not included.
Please note: this database does not duplicate the print version exactly, and researchers interested in comprehensive coverage should consult both. The print version is in Woodruff stacks at Z7128 .P5.

Population Index
1986-1999
This database is a joint project of Population Index and the Computing Library Core of Population Research at Princeton University. It can be searched by author, subject, geographical region and year. For best results start with a free text search, as some geographic regions are not parallel.

Social Sciences Index
1983 to present
Covers some core periodicals in the fields of anthropology, economics, geography, law and criminology, political science, social work, sociology, and international relations.

Sociological Abstracts
1963 to present
The premier online resource in the field of sociology and related disciplines. Includes citations and abstracts from scholarly journals, plus relevant dissertation listings, abstracts of conference papers, and selected books.

Web of Science
1975 to present
Includes the Social Sciences Citation Index and the Science Citation Index. You can search for specific articles by subject, author, journal, and/or author address. Because the information stored about each article includes the article's cited reference list (often called its bibliography), you can also search the databases for articles that cite a known author or work.

Zoological Record (1978 to present)
Reference Z7991 .Z87 (1870 to present)
This index to worldwide zoological literature emphasizes systematic and taxonomic information.
