- CQ Library provides access to:
- CQ Weekly, coverage of the U.S. Congress:
status of bills, votes and amendments, floor and committee

- The CQ Researcher, a good place to begin
research on current topics. It covers the most
current and controversial
issues of the day with complete summaries, insight into
all sides of the issues, bibliographies and more.
- The CQ Congress Collection, a research
and reference tool allowing historical analysis
of members of Congress,
their legislative voting behavior, interest groups,
and their interactions in crafting public policy.
- The CQ Voting and Elections Collection, includes
data, authoritative analyses, concise explanations,
and
historical material to help researchers investigate
and understand voting and elections in America.
- CQ Supreme Court Collection blends historical
analysis with updates and expert commentary of
Supreme Court decisions,
biographies of Supreme Court justices, Supreme Court
institutional history, and the U.S. Constitution.
- CQ Public Affairs Collection, a storehouse
of public policy content organized by 22 key topics,
pulls together

- Educational
Resources Information Center (ERIC)
1966 to present
- Indexes and abstracts works in
the field of education from 1966 to the present. The database
corresponds to the printed indexes Resources in Education
(Z5811 .R432) and Current Index to Journals in Education
(Z5813 .C8). Once you find a citation in ERIC, you
can do one of two things. If it's a journal article (an
EJ number), you can check EUCLID to see if Woodruff subscribes
to the journal. If it is not a journal article, it is
given
an ED number. ED documents indexed in ERIC from
1976 to date are available under Microfiche 411 on
Level 1.

- Foreign
Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Electronic Index
1975 to 1996
- FBIS
is a United States government agency which monitors and
translates current news and commentary from foreign political
speeches, radio and television broadcasts, news agency transmissions,
newspapers, and periodicals. The material is wide-reaching
with an emphasis on political, socioeconomic, scientific,
technical and environmental information. This is an index
to the microfiche collection which is located in the Government
Documents microfiche cabinets on Level 1 (beginning with
call number PREX 7.10:). For FBIS reports from 1994 to the

Journal
- An online news service that
tracks the latest U.S. political news. It includes HOTLINE,
a daily report on the latest politics in Washington
and
throughout the states. Poll Track, another feature, gives
the latest numbers on campaigns, issues and national
figures.
National Journal also includes an electronic
version of the Almanac of American Politics.

- PAIS
International

1971 to present, updated monthly
- A useful subject
index providing access to citations from public policy/public
affairs publications relevant to researchers, students,
administrators, legislators, and business and financial
decision-makers. The CQ Weekly is indexed in PAIS.

- A publication for Congressional news and information,
Roll Call provides readers with up-to-the-minute news of the legislative
and political maneuvers that happen every day on Capitol Hill. In
addition to breaking news, readers get keen insight from such
respected Washington analysts as Morton Kondracke, Stuart Rothenberg,
and Norman Ornstein, plus political coverage of Congressional elections
in every state in the Union. Note: Access to Roll Call, even when
on campus, requires an Emory ID number.

government (the world's largest compiler of statistical
information), international intergovernmental organizations,
professional and trade organizations, business organizations,

- Delivers business, economic and international
trade information produced by the U.S. Government,
including current and historical
trade-related releases, international market research,
trade opportunities, country analysis, the National
Trade Data
Bank (NTDB), current and historical economic and financial
releases and economic data.

United States Government Manual
1995 to present
- The basic guide to the organization of the federal
government. It can be used to help you identify agencies
active in your
field of interest.

1992 to present
- Specific U.S. export and import information on more than
18,000 commodities. NOTE: This database requires a password.

- FBIS is a United
States government agency which monitors and translates
current news and commentary from foreign political speeches,

and television broadcasts, news agency transmissions, newspapers,
and periodicals. The material is wide-reaching with an
emphasis
on political, socioeconomic, scientific, technical and
environmental information. The National Technical Information
Service (NTIS)
offers access to FBIS reports online from July 1994 to
the present through World News Connection. Generally
the information in WNC is available within 48-72
hours from the time of the original publication or broadcast.
Because
of copyright restrictions, some material which appears
in the FBIS Daily Reports is not included in WNC.
